  • Classroom

  • Onsite
Duration: 2 Days

This course is designed to prepare you to deploy the Cisco Mobile Concierge services to clients and to enable you to design and implement a billboard campaign to provide Layer 3 Mobile Concierge services.

In this class, you will learn how Location Analytics works, the importance and impact of proper AP placement, and its impact on location accuracy. You will learn the differences in three possible deployment models for location services, which include the impact on bandwidth at the LAN, WAN, and Internet levels of the deployments.

You will learn about how making changes in the number of clients being located or changing the cell size in the new location services calculator impacts the achievable accuracy, bandwidth required, and the load placed on the Cisco MSE. You will also learn about analytics deployment, the most common issues faced with this type of deployment, and where and what to look for to isolate the issue.

Hands-on labs will help ensure that you understand how to make Cisco Mobile Concierge services available to clients and how to design and implement a billboard campaign to provide Layer 3 Mobile Concierge services. You will also deploy analytics service and explore the GUI in a lab environment.

Laptops are provided to participate in the hands-on labs. If you'd rather use your own laptop, please ensure it has an Ethernet port and an internal wireless NIC, 802.11a/b/g/n. For laptops running Windows Vista or Windows 7, please include a terminal emulator, such as HyperTerminal, or ensure that you have administrator rights to the laptop to install software used in class.
